The Rolling Stones 50 and Counting Tour really needs no announcement, however, here it goes. It has been over eight years since the Stones have come to Philly. They have added a second night on 21st in addition to the concert on the 18th. The rumor has it that Brad Paisley will warm up the audience. The Wildwoods Restaurant Association's 2013 Restaurant Week will be starting on June 16th- 21st. The event will also take place on August 25th-30th. The four course meal will cost $30 plus tax and gratuity. All of the restaurants will provide a complete four course meal in which includes: appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert.

The Cape May Music Festival is celebrating its 24th season of providing a three week festival filled with orchestral and chamber music performances and Irish, country, jazz and brass music. The festival is located in Cape May, NJ.

I am a recent convert to being a devotee of Patty Griffin. I really got interested in her work when I saw and heard her as part of the Robert Plant Band of Joy tour. American Kid really speaks to me on many levels; as a fan, as a veteran, as a father, as husband and as someone who has experienced loss.

The concert last week at the World Cafe Live in Philly was a surprising mix of comedy and inspiring music. The night opened with Rebecca Haviland and the Whiskey Hearts. Only one of the four other Hearts performed, yet the music was very well done. Rebecca has a very strong voice with a hint of Bonnie Raitt coming through. She performed six songs with the most notable being a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “ Black Dogâ€.
