Media Courthouse Bomb Threat, Msgr. Lynn continues testimony, Roy Halladay placed on 15-day DL |

This morning in Media, the Delaware County Courthouse was evacuated after bomb threat was telephoned into 911 at 9:30 am. The building was evacuated as a precaution and the surrounding area sealed off. More than 45 prisoners were in the courthouse at the time for trials, hearings, etc and were taken back to county prison. Deputies, bomb squad, and bomb sniffing dogs found nothing during their search and court employees went back to work at 1pm.

Two people have surrendered to police in connection with the accidental shooting of 12 year old Tahtiana Diggs in Darby yesterday. She was shot in the hip when an argument between neighbors erupted into gunfire. Joshua Singleton and Lynette Crawford are being held and a third person is being sought.

Delaware County Police have identified two suspects in the shooting of a 12-year-old girl on Monday afternoon. According to police, the victim was struck in the hip by a stray bullet when two neighbors got into a fist fight over drugs. The one who came out on the losing end of that fight went home and returned with a gun and began firing. Police identified their suspects as 22-year-old Joshua Singleton and 35-year-old Lynnette Crawford.

Philadelphia police are investigating the deaths of twin babies in the Tacony section of Philadelphia. The mother is suspected in the deaths before attempting to take her own life. She is also suspected of giving her 4-year-old daughter prescription pills. That child in stable condition.

Philadelphia City Council voted today to allow you to fight parking tickets by mail or online rather than having to show up in person. The vote was unanimous. This would save people a trip to Center City when they want to fight a parking ticket. The bill would force the agency that hears appeals to allow for online or snail mail appeals within six months. It now goes to the desk of the mayor for a signature.
