Delta to Buy Delco Refinery, Chinatown Groper, Christie Considering White House |

Delta Airlines has announced that it will buy the ConocoPhillips refinery in Trainer. Delta's subsidiary Monroe Energy will pay $150 million for the refinery complex and hopes to keep the 500 jobs secure for the Delaware County community.

Sunoco Inc. is being acquired for $5.3 billion by a Texas pipeline company, Energy Transfer Partners of Dallas. Sunoco will maintain it's headquarters in Philadelphia after the merger, but will still be exiting the refinery business in this area as planned.

Philadelphia police have made an arrest after an armed robbery home invasion in North Philly last night. Intruders with guns entered a home shared by Temple University students and stole cell phones and cash at gunpoint.

A 1-year-old boy, John Edward Burkholder died Sunday night at a Berks County farm while playing with a piece of farm equipment. The 1 year old accidentally fell into a soil mixing machine at the Burkholder Farm Market and was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death was asphyxiation.

The injured Bald Eagle found in a Broomall parking lot on April 17 is recovering well, but not 100 percent yet. The large bird was found by a maintenance man emptying the trash barely alive, but still breathing. It turns out the bird had been shot, then apparently hit by a car, and had lead poisoning. Tomorrow is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Expired and unwanted medications pose threats both to abusers and the water supply. A driver is facing DUI charges after a crash that killed two people in the city's Tacony section Thursday morning. A Camaro struck a second car, sending both vehicles onto the sidewalk. The vehicle that was struck caught fire, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
