Upper Darby police are looking for potential witnesses to the deadly road shooting on Lansdowne Ave. last Friday morning, 3/25. It happened around 8 a.m. near Bonner/Prendie High School. 28-year-old Lloyd Amarsingh of Darby is accused of shooting 56-year-old Jim Hunt of Havertown. Police have identified the operator of a red sedan (pictured below). "The operator may have been a witness to the incident and we would like to speak with him/her in reference to what they may have observed," police tweeted. "Please call 610-724-7684 extension 226 or email socialmedia@udpd.org or message us."

Recovery crews removed an SUV submerged in the Darby Creek at the Ridley Township Marina on Monday afternoon. It was in 24 feet of water. A piling from the dock had been driven through the hood of the car. Human remains, belonging to missing Delaware County man James Amabile, were found inside the vehicle last week. Volunteer divers with Adventures with Purpose from Oregon, who run a popular YouTube channel, used special sonar to find the vehicle. They specialize in cold case files involving vehicles and water. Amabile went missing on December 4, 2003, on his way to pick up his two children from the babysitter. The Delaware County's Medical Examiner's Office made the positive identification through dental records.

A man was shot and killed after leaving a gym in Port Richmond on Monday night, 3/28. It happened around 8 p.m. on the 2200 block of East Tioga Street near Tulip Street. 42-year-old Sante Shelton left the Swift Fit gym and got into his Jeep Cherokee. He began to drive away but was shot twice in the face through the driver's side window. He crashed into a parked car about 200 feet away. Shelton was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police say that at least 6 shots were fired at the driver's side of the Jeep. No weapon was recovered and no arrests made. Police are looking at surveillance video.
