A private diving search and rescue team that specializes in cold cases found human remains in a submerged vehicle in Darby Creek on Saturday evening, 3/19. Adventures with Purpose from Oregon, who run a popular YouTube channel, used special sonar to find the vehicle in the Ridley Township Marina. Divers pulled out the remains of the driver and other items inside. The man went missing on December 4, 2003, on his way to pick up his two children from the babysitter. Family has identified the missing man as James Amabile. Police say the license plate on the submerged vehicle matches. The Delaware County coroner will make an official identification.

The warning period for Philadelphia's plastic bag ban ends next week. Starting April 1, businesses that do not comply to the new law will be subject to fines. "As we approach the April 1 enforcement deadline, we urge businesses to make the necessary arrangements to avoid any financial penalties. And we urge shoppers to bring reusable bags to do your shopping," Mayor Jim Kenney said in a written statement. The starting date had been delayed because of COVID-19.
