Birdwatchers in our area are enjoying the return of a rare species - the Snow Owl. The magnificent white, spotted owls with 5 foot wingspans appeared here last year in an unusually snowy season. At that time, birdwatchers called it a once-in-a-lifetime event. The Snowy Owls apparently like it here and have been spotted from open fields in Berks County to the dunes at the Jersey shore.

A New Jersey bus aide has been charged with stealing bagged lunches and lunch money from preschoolers in January and February. 33-year-old Rosa Rios of Millville, NJ, was caught on surveillance video going through the backpacks of the 3-5 year-old students and taking lunches and money. She reportedly stole from 29 children. Authorities were reviewing the footage because the bus driver had reported $400 being stolen from her. Rios is being investigated for that theft. Paul McCartney lays the rumors to rest and is set to give Firefly fans the show of their lifetime

Firefly Music Festival announced today the addition of Paul McCartney to the 2015 lineup. It is Paul's first ever appearance in Delaware and the latest confirmed date of this year's Out There tour, following on the recent announcement of April 21 May 2 run through Japan and South Korea. Firefly Music Festival takes place June 18-21 at The Woodlands of Dover, Delaware.

The three year old girl abducted Monday night was found safe yesterday and is being reunited with her mother today. Elinor Trotta and her father Michael Trotta were found in Massachusetts after the girl's mother reported she was abducted from their Delaware home, triggering an Amber Alert. The FBI says Michael Trotta was arrested without incident.

The cold temperatures and icy streets are taking their toll on sanitation crews in Philadelphia as trash pick up has fallen behind schedule. Keith Warren with the Sanitation Department says the winter weather has put trash pick-up about a day behind schedule as the cold isn’t letting trash collectors work at their regular pace. Warren is asking that everybody still puts their trash out at the regular time.

An Amber Alert has been canceled after 3-year-old Elinor Trotta and her father were found safe in Spencer, Massachusetts Tuesday afternoon. The alert was issued Monday evening after 43-year-old Michael Trotta took his daughter from his ex-wife's home in the Schoolside Apartments in New Castle, Delaware. Ten years ago today, on February 24, 2005, Philadelphia's alternative radio station Y100 (WPLY FM) was taken off the air by its owner. On that same day, Y100 program director Jim McGuinn and promotions director Josh T. Landow launched the website Y100Rocks.com as a petition to bring the station back to the airwaves and as an online streaming radio station. On Monday, the State Attorney's Office in Florida released a statement clearing Eagles safety Nate Allen of any wrongdoing in connection to a charge of indecent exposure following an incident that occurred in Fort Myers on February 16th. According to the State Attorney's Office, a 16-year old female called authorities after witnessing a man expose himself in a pickup truck on the afternoon of February 16th.
