A Northeast Celebration: A FREE Event On August 23rd in Philadelphia!

The Philadelphia community organization "Take Back Your Neighborhood" will be hosting a "Northeast Celebration," highlighting everything that is positive and unique about the Northeast on Saturday, August 23rd. The mission of this organization is to address negative situations in their community, from trash to violence, and finding solutions that will increase the overall quality of life of those in their community. The organizations event "A Northeast Celebration" is being held to meet neighbors, build the community, and celebrate the Northeast. The event will start at 11AM at Max Myers Community Center, at 1601 Hellerman Street, Philadelphia, PA 19149, and end at 4 PM. The event will feature groups representing historical landmarks of the region, activities for kids, community organizations that provide vital services to our neighborhood, and music (DJ and local talent). This FREE event is open to anyone and everyone, and is a great opportunity for the whole family to celebrate Philadelphia as the summer comes to a close! In addition, Catholic Community Services will be at the event and has donated 100 schoolbags to the first 100 children who attend the celebration.
