Four Temple Football Players In NFL Combine; NBA All Star Weekend; Phillies First Full Practice

Temple University's football program has now announced that four of its players are going to participate in the 2017 NFL combine in Indianapolis. The four players are DL Haason Reddick, OL Dion Dawkins, DB Nate Hariston, and RB Jahad Thomas. Dawkins, Reddick and Thomas are all New Jersey natives, and Hariston is from Frederick, Maryland. The 2017 NFL combine will take place between February 28th and March 6th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

This weekend is the NBA All-Star Weekend which will be full of many events starting Friday night through Sunday night. On Friday night, the NBA Celebrity Game will be held at 7 pm (ESPN) and the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge at 9 pm (TNT). On Saturday night, the three rounds of the State Farm All-Star Night will be held starting at 8 pm (TNT). First the Skill Challenge will take place, then the Three Point Contest, then followed by the Slam Dunk Contest. To wrap things up on Sunday night the NBA All-Star game will be played at 8 pm (TNT).

The Phillies are holding their first full team practice on Friday in Clearwater to start off the team's preseason. The pitchers and catchers have been practicing all week in Clearwater, but Friday the full squad held a practice at the Spectrum Field in Clearwater. The Phillies first official spring training game will be on Thursday, February 23rd, against The University of Tampa's baseball team.
