Four teens were shot and injured in a quadruple shooting in Philadelphia's Logan neighborhood on Friday night, 1/15. It happened around 8 p.m. on the 5000 block of North 10th Street. A 15-year-old boy was shot in the right hip and right arm. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest, left foot, and right arm. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the left thigh. The fourth victim, a 14-year-old boy, was shot in the hip. They were transported to Einstien Medical Center by private vehicle. All four teens are in stable condition. There have been no arrests and no weapons have been recovered.

There was a triple shooting in Southwest Philadelphia around the same time. It happened after 8 p.m. on the 5800 block of Trinity Street in Kingsessing. A 27-year-old male was shot in the left thigh. A 26-year-old male was shot in the left forearm, right arm, and twice in the right side of the chest. A 40-year-old female was shot in the left arm, right arm, and once to the right side of the chest. They were all taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital. The first male is in stable condition. The second male and female are both in critical condition. No arrests have been made and no weapons have been recovered.

Police are alerting residents of University City of an uptick in armed robberies and carjackings in the past two months. Captain Matthew Gillespie of the 18th police district held a virtual meeting with neighbors urging them to be on the lookout. The recent streak of incidents go back to December 5. Most disturbing is the fact that the suspects range in age from only 13 to 19. Gillespie says that time of day and location has not mattered in these cases. "We've seen these incidents as early as 12:30 in the afternoon, broad daylight, or as late as 10 o'clock at night," says Gillespie. Victims have been walking their dog, sitting in their cars, or walking down the street. Gillespie asks neighbors to check their 'Ring' or other surveillance cameras if they caught the suspects. If you are by yourself and have to walk somewhere, call 215-387-3942 and a University City District Public Safety Ambassador will be dispatched. The service is free and available 10 am - 3 am seven days a week.

The Philadelphia Phillies have reportedly made an offer to free agent catcher J.T. Realmuto. The deal would be for $100 million over 5-years. Realmuto is one of the top catchers in the league and will command top dollar on the market, but opportunities for him to sign at another team are closing. He may well return to Philadelphia, which will please many fans. Phillies President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski, hired last month, said, "We continue to have interest in J.T. But from a negotiating standpoint, these are things that have to be kept private."
