One person was killed and five others injured in a drive-by shooting in Philadelphia's Fern Rock neighborhood on Monday afternoon, 9/20. It happened just before 2:30 p.m. near Broad Street and Chew Avenue, a block from Olney Transportation Center. The shooter opened fire from the backseat of a silver Chrysler 300. A 26-year-old man was killed. Four men ages 19-25 and a 28-year-old woman were also shot and injured. "The vehicle was traveling eastbound on the 1300 block of West Chew Avenue from Broad (Street) when the shooting occurred," said Deputy Commissioner Joel Dales. "It's a busy area. Thank God that children were not out when the shooting occurred." No arrests have been made. If you have any information, call police at 215-686-TIPS.
