Winter will come rushing back in overnight. The recent mild weather will be replaced by freezing temps and wintery precipitation. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect in Philadelphia and New Jersey suburbs. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect down the shore. Snow will start overnight and through the day Monday. Philadelphia can expect 1-3" of snow. Higher amounts will be seen south and east of the city with accumulations of 4-6" or more down the shore. The advisories last from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Philadelphia's indoor vaccine mandate for dining establishments begins on Monday, January 3. Patrons must show proof of vaccination and government ID to enter any place that serves food or drink. That includes restaurants, bars, sports venues, cafes, food courts, movie theaters, bowling alleys, casinos, catering halls, and other venue that serves food/drink. Negative tests taken within 24 hours will be accepted until January 17. After that, you must be fully vaccinated. Employees and Children ages 5-11 must have their first dose by Jan. 3 and their second dose by Feb. 3. The mandate does not apply to schools, childcare facilities, healthcare facilities, grocery stores, convenience stores, hospitals, and congregate care facilities.

For More Information: You will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID to enter any establishment that serves food in Philly

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Football Team on Sunday, 20-16. The Eagles moved one step closer to taking a Wild Card spot in the NFL playoffs. They still hold their own destiny and only need to beat the Dallas Cowboys at home next week to secure the spot, but if the Green Bay Packers beat the Minnesota Vikings tonight, ½, then they'll clinch that spot. There was a scary scene after the win at FedEx Field that put Eagles QB Jalen Hurts too close to danger. As Hurts was exiting the field and heading into the locker room tunnel to the sounds of cheers, a railing fence gave way and several Philadelphia fans fell onto the walkway right onto Hurts. They were not injured and stood right up to congratulate him and pose for pictures. Security eventually cleared the scene and moved everyone along. It could have been much worse.
