New Jersey State Police are asking the public's help in finding a man who went missing on Friday, 1/28, in Bridgeton. 23-year-old Jonathan J. Morris was last seen driving his mother's BMW. That vehicle was found abandoned on Barretts Run Road in neighboring Hopewell. Search crews found some items on Sunday, 1/30, near the intersection of Barretts Run Road and Archie Platt Road in Bridgeton's Hopewell section. Morris is described as a Black man with brown eyes and black hair standing 6-foot-6 and weighing 220 pounds. If you have any information, contact Detective Jacob Schor or Detective Sergeant George Auge of Troop "A" Bridgeton station at 856-451-0101.

An elderly man was rescued hours after crashing his SUV into an icy pond on a Montgomery County golf course early Sunday morning, 1/30. It happened sometime between 4:30-5 a.m. at the Raven's Claw Golf Club in Limerick Township. Police believe the man was driving on Penn Road. They say the man must have gotten lost and ended up on a cart path then drove into the pond. His car was not spotted until 11 a.m. When rescue crews arrived, the man was unresponsive and was taken to West Reading Hospital. The SUV was eventually pulled from the pond. The man's condition is not known. The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.

Chelsie Kryst, the 2019 Miss USA pageant winner and a correspondent for the "Extra" tv program, was found dead today at age 30. New York City police say that she jumped from her Manhattan apartment building. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Kryst was a D-1 athlete, held an MBA, and was a lawyer in North Carolina. She left a note and made one last post to Instagram (see below). The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is: (800) 273-8255.

Her family issued this statement:
"In devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie," the statement said. "Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined. Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on EXTRA. But most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor and colleague - we know her impact will live on."
