Major League Baseball owners and the player's union have both accepted a new 5-year collective bargaining agreement. This ends a 99-day lockout. The 2022 regular season will begin on April 7 and will include a full 162 games. The Phillies opening day will be on Friday, April 8 vs Oakland Athletics. Spring training gets started right away. The first Spring Training game for the Phillies is Friday, March 18 vs Detriot Tigers. Free agency also starts right away. No player was able to sign a new contract or talk with potential teams since December 2. Expect a lot of activity now.

The new CBA has some significant rule changes. Here are a few: 1) The DH (designated hitter) will now be used in the National League. 2) Extra innings gets rid of the "ghost runner" 3) Doubleheaders go back to 9-inning games 4) Playoffs expand to 12 teams (3 division winners, 3 wildcards)

Police in Montgomery County are searching for a crafty thief who tricked workers in order to walk away with expensive video game equipment. It happened around 10 a.m. last Friday, March 4 at the Willow Grove Walmart on the 2100 block of Blair Mill Rd. The suspect wore a blue Walmart vest and convinced another employee to hand him the keys for the locked electronics case. He then retrieved an Oculus virtual reality headset worth around $300. The suspect proceeded to leave the store with the product and the keys. If you have any information, contact Upper Moreland Police at 215-657-4700.

A couple filming for their YouTube channel went too far to create that content and get those likes. 24-year-old Charlotte Fischer and 25-year-old Johnson Larose were arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. The couple, who go by "Saucy and Honey" on YouTube, hid and stayed inside a Target store in Exton, Chester County after it closed. They proceeded to film themselves going around the darkened store while joking and laughing. They even went live and chatted with their followers. It was all part of a 'challenge.' They did not steal anything, but trespassing is a serious crime.
