There is now a $50,000 reward after a 7-month pregnant woman and her unborn baby were shot and killed after her baby shower in Philadelphia's Lawncrest section on Saturday night, 11/20. It happened around 8:30 p.m. on the 6100 block of Palmetto Street. 32-year-old Jessica Covington was unloading presents from her car outside of her home when a gunman opened fire. A Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court Judge ruled on Tuesday, 11/16, that the stay on the court's ruling on the statewide K-12 mask mandate should be lifted. Judge Christine Fizzano Cannon said the masking order must expire by December 4. Union leader John 'Johnny Doc' Dougherty and Philadelphia city councilman Bobby Henon were found guilty of conspiracy and multiple counts of honest services wire fraud in their federal corruption trial on Monday, 11/15.
