| The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated some of its guidance regarding masking on Tuesday, 7/27. Officials now recommend that fully vaccinated people return to wearing masks indoors in those parts of the country that are experiencing high COVID-19 transmission rates. | A man convicted of killing a trans woman and LGBTQ+ advocate in May 2019 has been sentenced. 30-year-old Troy Bailey was found guilty of third-degree murder and other charges in the death of 40-year-old Michelle "Tamika" Washington last week.
