The lineup for this year's 4th of July Jam on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway as part of the Wawa Welcome America Celebration has been announced. Mayor Michael Nutter made the announcement on Tuesday morning at the African American Museum in Center City Philadelphia. The Roots will be back again to headline and act as house band for the show. Joining them on stage will be R&B star Miguel and Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles. More musical guests will be announced later this week.

Foo Fighters had the bittersweet honor of performing on the finale of The Late Show with David Letterman last night. Letterman explained that following his open-heart surgery in 2000, he had requested Foo Fighters be the musical guest on his first show back and that they play "Everlong." Jay Z's Budweiser Made in America Festival will be returning to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway once again for it's 4th year this Labor Day Weekend. The show was announced on the festival's website and Facebook page on Tuesday evening. The dates for this year's shows are Saturday and Sunday, September 5th and 6th. Saturday night at Seattle's Neptune Theater, Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan joined Nirvana's Krist Novoselic to talk about Novoselic's new book How To Be A Man (and other illusions).
