I had an extreme case of cabin fever on Friday Jan. 3rd when I decided to venture out into the weather to see and hear some live music. I took a drive to one of my favorite places, Vinyl Revival, to catch a concert by Benjamin Poole and Runaway Youth. The atmosphere inside was in total contrast to the weather. The concert was a sell out which surprised me, given the weather. The authentic and warm nature of the performance was reinforced by the appreciation of the audience.

On Saturday Dec. 28th a friend and I went to The Ardmore Music Hall to see The Districts and The Felice Brothers. We choose the VIP tickets which entitle us to early admission and a buffet meal. This was a smart choice. The meal was very good and plentiful, consisting of ribs, chicken, garlic roasted potatoes and veggies. You also get a shot at a good seat instead of standing. For $35.00 we got 3 hours of fine live music and a nice meal, a good deal!
The show started a... Read More |

The Vault at Vinyl Revival is a unique place to see and hear live music. The concert venue coupled with the record shop is unusual but natural. Combinations like chocolate and peanut butter at frist seem unusual but we all know are wonderful! Well so is this shop! Having about 50 seats is both a limitation and a major advantage. The seating is in the vein of a very small stadium setup with the first row being individual seats and the back seat of an old station wagon. I want to mention this... Read More |
