A 17-year-old employee at Sesame Place was punched in the face by a park guest after he reminded him to wear a mask. It happened about 5 p.m. Sunday, 8/9, at the theme park in Langhorne, Bucks County, PA. Earlier in the day, the teen encountered a male and female patron and reminded them that it was required to wear a mask while in the park. The Philadelphia Public League has suspended all interscholastic athletic competition until January 1, 2021. That includes the entire School District of Philadelphia. The decision was made after Governor Wolf recommended last week that K-12 and recreational sports be postponed until January 1st. It was another violent weekend in Philadelphia. At least 22 people were shot in over 10 separate shootings across the city between Saturday night and Sunday. The victims include men, women, and children of all ages, with many of the victims just collateral damage and not the intended targets. The Amber Alert for a young Delaware boy has been canceled after authorities found him safe in Southern California. 2-year-old Crisobal Lopez disappeared from his home in Georgetown, DE, on July 26. It is believed that his mother, 25-year-old Angelina Lopez, took him. Crisobal lives with his mother's cousin. Both sides of I-676 have now reopened. Three barges that became wedged under the Vine Street Expressway I-676 bridge across the Schuylkill River have been removed. Tug boats were able to push and pull the barges away from the bridge at around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, 8/6. The barges were being used by the Army Corps of Engineers contractors to dredge the river.
