| On Monday night, 3/30, President Donald Trump approved Pennsylvania's disaster declaration. Governor Tom Wolf made the request for the declaration on Sunday, 3/29. This will allow the state and local governments to get money and resources from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to fight the disease. | Starting on Monday, March 30, any Philadelphia residents in need will be able to pick up boxes of free food. There are about 20 pick-up sites throughout the city. They will be open Mondays and Thursdays 10 a.m. to noon. One box of food will be given for each household. Supplies will last 5 days. You do not need an ID or proof on income to get the food. President Donald Trump has signed the $2.2 trillion CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) on Friday afternoon, 3/27. The United States Congress approved the act by voice vote earlier Friday. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., tried to force a recorded vote, but was denied because there was a quorum of House members present.
