Pennsylvania's Department of Transportation has announced that it will be getting rid of renewal stickers for license plates. The department stated that getting rid of the renewal stickers will save around $3 million a year because they won't have to produce or mail the stickers. This will go into effect at the end of December. Motorists must still have their vehicles inspected and have proper registration cards when asked by police. A Code Blue has now been issued for Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks counties due to the frigid temperatures that we will be facing over the next couple of days. Philadelphia's Office of Homeless Services has declared its second code blue of the winter season, which is effective Wednesday at 6 pm through next Wednesday, December 21st at 6 am. Bensalem Police are searching for two suspects wanted in a robbery of a 73-year-old woman in the parking lot of Parx Casino last weekend. It happened on Sunday, December 11th, at approximately 8:20 p.m. The woman was walking in the parking lot when a male suspect approached her and grabbed her purse. Police are now investigating a double shooting that took place in the Frankford section of Philadelphia Tuesday night. The shooting took place on the 5000 block of Frankford Avenue at around 7:30 pm. Police arrived on scene to find a man in his 30's shot in the back and chest, he was taken to Aria Health Torresdale where he was later pronounced dead. Philadelphia Police are now searching for a woman who held up a Wawa in Rhawnhurst. The incident took place Sunday at the Wawa on the 8000 block of Roosevelt Boulevard at around 10 am. Police say that the woman walked up to the register, and told the cashier to hand over the money or she would start to shoot. The cashier handed over the money and the woman fled the scene. Luckily no one was injured in the robbery, and police are still searching for the suspect.

Philadelphia Police have arrested a man for spray painting anti-Trump graffiti on a Chestnut Hill grocery store late on Thanksgiving night. 33-year-old Evan Brown of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested on Sunday and charged with Criminal Mischief and related offenses. Police are now investigating after a shooting occurred in the Olney section of Philadelphia on Monday. The incident happened on the 5900 block of North 3rd Street at around 5:15 pm. Police say that two men were sitting in their car when someone shot both of them. A suspect was killed during a confrontation with a U.S. Marshal in Northeast Philadelphia Monday. The shooting happened on the 1300 block of Hellerman Street at around 10:20 am. The U.S. Marshal was serving a warrant to a suspect for a shooting that took place in July in Philadelphia.
