Today is the last day to mail in your SEPTA TrailPass or Cross County pass for a refund. If you want a full refund for this week or this month, you must return it to SEPTA by U.S. Mail postmarked by today, Thursday, July 7, to: SEPTA, P.O. BOX 58609, Philadelphia, PA 19102-8849. Video footage of a fatal police involved shooting on Tuesday morning in Baton Rouge, LA, has renewed outrage and protest over police use of force. Uniformed police officers responded to a convenience store where a man selling CD's had threatened someone with a gun. Hundreds of transportation projects across New Jersey will come to a halt Friday night for at least a week as the state looks for money to pay for the work. The state Department of Transportation and New Jersey Transit released lists of projects Wednesday that will be suspended at 11:59 p.m. Friday. They will remain suspended at least seven days. A route 47 SEPTA bus driver was maced by a woman on Tuesday night. The incident occurred at 5th Street and W. Olney Avenue in the city's Olney section. According to police, it took place around 7:45 p.m. when a bus stopped at the location. Officials say the driver went to assist a passenger, in a wheelchair, onto the bus. Commuters faced long delays and packed trains today on the first day back to work after SEPTA pulled one third of it's Regional Rail train cars due to a structural problem. Morning trains eventually had to skip stations on the way into Center City because they were full to capacity. Station platforms were crowded with people waiting to go home at the end of the day.
