Fire In MayFair Restaurant, SEPTA Wars Of Track Dangers, Flyers Honor Ed Snider |

Fire fighters had to battle a restaurant fire last night in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. The Fire broke out at around 6 p.m. at Owens Cafe on the 2800 block of Cottman Avenue. Crews who arrived on the scene noticed the fire stretching from the cafe to other businesses on the block. As of now, no injuries have been reported.

After a Philadelphia Police officer was shot in West Philadelphia one suspect is in custody, while the gunman is still on the loose. On the 5900 block of Market St. Officer James McCullough was shot while trying to stop a robbery. McCullough was rushed to Presbyterian Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Gov. Tom Wolf has officially signed the bill to legalize Marijuana in Pennsylvania. The bill was approved last week by the house, and Gov. Wolf was more than eager to sign the bill saying, "This is a great day for Pennsylvania and a great day for Pennsylvanians." A 28-year-old man was stabbed yesterday in the Hunting section of Philadelphia. The stabbing happened around 3:30 pm on the 3800 block of Park Avenue. The victim was stabbed in the chest, and was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was in critical condition. Police now say they have recovered the weapon and have arrested a suspect.
