Local Philadelphia music community incubator RECPhilly has surpassed $12,000 $11,000 with over 50 backers in a Kickstarter campaign launched earlier this week. A legal battle is brewing over a sculpture created by an African artist and seized by federal agents in Philadelphia this spring. "War Throne" is a chair made entirely of decommissioned weaponry. Adam Solow, who purchased the artwork through an Italian broker, says the firearms no longer pose a danger. A non-profit dedicated to showcasing the artwork of inmate artists opened a new exhibit at a Germantown parish in honor of the upcoming visit from Pope Francis. Black Sabbath has announced that they will be doing their final tour starting next year in January. Their farewell tour will appropriately be called "The End." The lineup will consist of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler (they did not specify a drummer). The North American tour starts on January 20th in Omaha, NE with a bunch of Canadian, Midwestern, and Western dates before ending at Madison Square Garden on February 25th. On Wednesday, the Secret Service released a Pedestrian Walking Map for the weekend of the Papal Visit. The map indicated areas where event attendees could walk and where those attending events needed to walk through security points. The map also indicated areas where tickets were required for access.
