Haverford Music Festival to Raffle Michael Vick Autographed Football |

The Haverford Music Festival announces that the Philadelphia Eagles have generously donated two autographed footballs. The footballs, bearing the signatures of quarterback Michael Vick and defensive back Nnamdi Asomugha, will be raffled off during the festival.

Hurricane Irene Damages Atlantic City Casino Revenues |

Hurricane Irene caused minimal structural damage to Atlantic City's casinos. But its revenue numbers have taken a huge hit dropping 19.8 percent, or $59.6 million from August last year.
Other factors adding to the hurricane-forced closure of the casinos include a weak economy and fierce competition from Pennsylvania casinos, which remained open during the hurricane.

According to Mayor Nutter, Philadelphia's weekend curfew imposed on Center City and University City remains in effect until the curfew law can be rewritten.
He said there had been no more attacks attributed to so-called flash-mob violence since the curfew was enacted.
Nutter had 20 of the city's largest rec centers extend their hours to 10 p.m. on weekends.

Jimmy Rollins has been activated from the 15-Day Disabled list and is available to play tonight in Milwaukee off the bench. He would most likely wouldn't have been activated until next week but since Chase Utley did not make the trip with the team, Rollins will take the spot as an extra infielder.

On September 1st, Philadelphia Urban Contemporary radio station WRNB-FM located at 107.9 began simulcasting their programming on sister station WPHI-FM whose frequency is 100.3 FM.
