Skinny Joey Merlino arrived in Florida this week to begin his post prison life. He plans to stay away from Philadelphia and his mob ties. Dangerous levels of radiation leaking from a crippled nuclear plant forced Japan to order 140,000 people to seal themselves indoors Tuesday after an explosion and a fire dramatically escalated the crisis spawned by the deadly tsunami. No laughing matter.

Comedian Gilbert Gottfried was fired by Aflac from his gig as the voice of its duck mascot following his controversial series of tweets/dozen jokes about the earthquake in Japan.
