Celebrated comedian David Frye has passed away at age 77 in Las Vegas, reports the New York Times. Frye specialized in impressions of political figures -- most notably President Richard Nixon. He could also do a spot on President Lyndon Johnson, Bobby Kennedy, and Henry Fonda, among others.

Comcast and NBC Universal complete merger |

The huge merger deal between Philadelphia based Comcast and GE owned NBC Universal was finally completed yesterday, Friday, Jan 28. Comcast acquired a 51% stake in NBC Universal from GE, to create a nearly $30 billion company. The merger was under tight scrutiny from the FCC and Justice Department but got approval Jan 18, but with a few restrictions, mainly in regards to Comcast's new control of content from NBC and access for emerging services such as Hulu and Netflix streaming.
