The 7th Annual Haverford Music Festival returns to Havertown this Saturday, September 9th, from Noon to 9:30 p.m. The festival is FREE and open to everyone, voluntary donations will be accepted at entry points. There will be 4 stages spread throughout the area around the intersection of Darby and Eagle Roads (which will be open to traffic) featuring 30 different musical acts. Last Friday night, rock band Coldplay was forced to cancel its show in Houston as Hurricane Harvey approached Texas. Each August as the Earth's annual orbit takes it through the remains of the comet Swift-Tuttle/109P, we are treated to a dramatic show of meteors streaking through the sky called the Perseids. Named because they seem to radiate from the constellation Perseus, this meteor shower will peak tonight Friday August 11th through Saturday August 12th.
