| Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees; Three Teachers in NJ Arrested Sex Students; Nutter 'Sickened' |

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland has announced the nominees for 2013. Those acts need to have been making music for at least 25 years to qualify. Then the hall will send ballots out to over 600 members of the music industry to vote. Performers garnering the highest number of votes and at least 50% will be inducted, usually 5-7 each year. This year's nominees are Donna Summer, The Meters, Public Enemy, N.W.A., Albert King, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Kraftwerk, Randy Newman, Procol Harum, Heart, Rush, the Marvellettes, Deep Purple, Chic, and Philadelphia born Joan Jett.
Three teachers from Triton Regional High School in Runnemede, New Jersey have been arrested and accused of having inappropriate sexual relations with three female students. Teachers Jeffrey Logandro, 32, Daniel Michielli, 27, and Nicholas Martinelli, 28, turned themselves in today facing official misconduct charges. The victims all graduated in June. Two of the students were 17 and one was 18 at the time. Principal Catherine DePaul and Vice Principal Jernee Kollock are also facing charges of official misconduct for allegedly knowing about what was happening and not reporting it to law enforcement. Logandro and Michielli face additional charges of criminal sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child because their victims were only 17.
Mayor Nutter spoke for the first time about the video showing Lt. Jonathan Josey striking Aida Guzman during Puerto Rican Day festivities. The mayor said that watching the video made him feel “appalled, sickened, and ashamed.†He said that Lt. Josey did not use the appropriate level of force for the situation, that no one was in any danger, and it does not demonstrate effective use of police training. He is pleased that charges were dropped against Ms. Guzman and supports Commissioner Ramsey's decision to suspend Josey 30 days with the intent to dismiss. He concluded by extending his apologies to Ms. Guzman.
