Decontamination crews were on hand in Hatboro, Montgomery County Tuesday to clean the apartment of a man accused of sending the deadly poison ricin to a romantic rival. Several companies were working in the apartment in the Eleanor Court Apartments on the 100 block of Byberry Road. 19-year-old Nicholas Hellman, who shared the apartment with his mother, is accused of sending a ricin laced scratch-n-sniff birthday card to his ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend in Warminster three months ago. David Burkhardt of Eagle Industrial Hygiene explains that the apartment had been sealed off. He says, "When the process is done, there will be no more hazard associated with ricin in the apartment." Hellman is charged with attempted murder.

Upper Darby police are searching for four teenage boys who attacked a 58-year-old homeless man and uploaded the video to Facebook. The unprovoked attack took place June 11th at the Aronimink Trolley Stop at Burmont Road and Morgan Avenue. The man was sitting inside the shelter minding his business when one of the teens approached him. After some egging on by his friends, the boy sucker punched the man in the face. Police were alerted after the video was seen on Facebook. The teens can be seen on surveillance planning the attack, heard laughing while carrying it out, and then running away. The victim did not seek medical attention and does not want to be identified. Upper Darby police need help identifying the teenage suspects. Contact UD police at 610-734-7684 or the anonymous tip line at 610-734-3439.

Early this afternoon a man riding on a lawn mower was hit by a SUV in New Castle County, Delaware. It happened around 1:30 pm on the 300 block of North Dupont Highway in Wilmington Manor. A Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling northbound on Rt. 13 when it hit two other vehicles and left the road. The SUV veered off onto Wilmington University property and struck a riding mower ejecting the driver. The SUV driver and mower operator were taken to Christiana Hospital. Police are investigating the accident.

UPDATE: Two are now reported dead from the crash this afternoon between a SUV and a riding mower. 20-year-old Francisco Jimenez-Flores of Wilmington who was operating the mower and 25-year-old Derek Wynn of New Castle who was the driver of the Jeep were both pronounced dead at Christiana Hospital.
