A man and his girlfriend have been charged in the horrific murder of her 3-year-old son inside their trailer home West Caln, Chester County. Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan announced the arrests of 23-year-old Gary Fellenbaum and 31-year-old Jillian Tait this morning. They are charged with first degree murder and other offenses. The two lived in a mobile home together with Tait's two sons, 3-year-old Scotty McMillan and 6-year-old Ryan McMillan, from a previous relationship. Fellenbaum's wife Amber, 21, also lived in the trailer with that couple's 11-month-old son. Fellenbaum and Tait severely beat both of Tait's sons, however, it was Scotty that became unresponsive on Tuesday. The pair eventually called 911 but it was too late. Hogan said, "Little Scotty McMillan is dead. Over a three day period ... he was systematically tortured and beaten to death. He was punched in the face and in the stomach. He was scourged with a homemade whip. He was lashed with a metal rod. He was tied to a chair and beaten. He was tied upside down by his feet and beaten. His head was smashed through a wall." Amber Fellenbaum is charged with child endangerment.

A 9-year-old girl Willow Grove was struck and killed on Wednesday night in Abington Township, Montgomery Township. It happened just before 9 p.m. on Rockwell Road near Old Welsh Road as girl and her caretaker were crossing the street. The caretaker crossed the road first and the girl followed but she was struck as she stepped out from between two parked cars. She was rushed to Abington Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The striking vehicle, driven by an 18-year-old girl, did not immediately stop. She drove to a nearby parking lot and called her mother. Her mother went to the accident scene and told officers where her daughter could be found. No word on any charges against the unidentified teen. The investigation into the fatal crash continues.

22-year-old kidnap victim Carlesha Freeland-Gaither has gone into hiding. She returned home to Philadelphia Thursday morning with her family after being found safe on Wednesday night in Maryland. She had been missing for three days after being grabbed off the street by Delvin Barnes on Sunday night. Police credit the help of the media, tipsters, and detectives in finding Freeland-Gaither and tracking down Barnes and his vehicle. Barnes will be extradicted to Virginia to face charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, and rape there first. Freeland-Gaither has been moved to an undisclosed location so she can begin to process and heal. She will have access to counseling and other victim assistance resources.
