Investigators were searching the Schuylkill River and nearby canal this afternoon after they received new video related to the disappearance of college student Shane Montgomery. The video from Christie's nail salon shows Shane after he left Kildare's bar early on Thanksgiving morning. He is seen walking across a bridge over the Manayunk canal and into a parking lot on Venice Island before disappearing out of view. Search crews were focusing on the area around the Belmont Ave and railroad bridges searching the water and banks of the river. There is a $65,000 reward for information that leads to Shane's discovery. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities at 215-686-3353/3354.

UPDATE 12/11: Authorities were back out on Thursday searching the same area but had to stop due to the weather. They expect to be back out there the next few days as the weather is going to clear up.

Two Drexel students are under arrest and one is recovering from a stab wound after an altercation on campus early Wednesday morning. The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was treated for a superficial wound and released. The assailants have been charged with with Aggravated Assault, Criminal Conspiracy, Simple Assault, and related offenses. All three are students from China studying at the university.

A major water main break wreaked havok in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood this morning. It happened around 8:30 a.m. on Germantown Avenue near Jefferson Street. A 20 inch cast iron main dating back to 1893 broke sending a flood of water and mud down the streets. The Philadelphia Water Department was able to turn off the water after about 30 minutes. The Ummie’s Kiddie Kottage daycare center had to close for the day. Workers for PWD went door to door to check on resident's homes. There has been ongoing construction in the area. The cause of the break has yet to be determined.
