A Philadelphia woman whose violent arrest on a Wildwood beach over Memorial Day weekend turned into a viral video has been indicted on charges by a Cape May County grand jury. Emily Weinman has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, throwing bodily fluids and obstruction. The indictment was handed up last week. Video of the end incident shot by a beachgoer showed officers struggling to detain Weinman, at one point holding her down and striking her head. Police body cam footage released later showed the entire incident which started when officers questioned her about alcoholic beverages and she refused to give her name. She rejected a plea bargain in July.

A 7-year-old boy died on Sunday, 9/23, after falling between two cars on SEPTA's Broad Street Line. It happened on a southbound train around 6 p.m. near the North Philadelphia station at West Allegheny Avenue and North Broad Street. Witnesses say the boy was selling candy with his 11-year-old brother and a 26-year-old man not his father. The boy went through the doors and was going between cars when he fell. The Broad Street line was shut down for a time on Sunday night as investigators worked to determine how the boy fell. The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE: The National Transportation Safety Board is also investigating the incident. SEPTA officials restated its rules on passing between cars and soliciting on trains. They also addressed questions about locking the doors while moving, but officials say the doors are kept unlocked in case of emergency.

Delaware State Fire Marshals have arrested a woman for intentionally setting a fire that destroyed an apartment building in Bear, DE, on Sunday, 9/23. 37-year-old Teresa C. Locco was charged with Arson in the first degree and three counts of Reckless Endangering in the first degree. All counts are felonies. It started at the Fox Run Apartments on the 2900 block of Squirrel Drive in Bear around 6:00 a.m. Iocco allegedly started the fire on the patio of one of the apartments. It spread to the rest of the three story building before fire crews were able to bring it under control by 7:30 a.m. 24 units were damaged, 12 of which will not be able to be reoccupied. The damage is likely to exceed $1 million. No one was injured. The building management and the Red Cross are assisting in recovery and relocation for the displaced residents.
