Philadelphia Police have released video of two gunman opening fire on a crowd of people outside of the Golf and Social Club in Fishtown last Friday night. It happened around 8 p.m. on the 1000 block of Delaware Ave. The two suspects can be seen approaching the crowd of people on the sidewalk outside of the club. They both just start shooting and then flee on foot. Seven people were injured, including 3 teenagers. "While investigators from our East Detectives and other investigative units have worked continuously to develop a motive and identify the two shooters, we are hopeful that this video will encourage members of the public to come forward with additional information to assist our investigation and bring these brazen criminals to justice," said Deputy Commissioner of Investigations Ben Naish. The club was shutdown by L+I for violating COVID-19 safety protocols. It will be allowed to reopen for food and beverage service only. If you have any information about the shooting contact Philadelphia Police.

The Philadelphia's Department of Parks and Recreation has granted approval for the first special events in the city in a year since the COVID-19 pandemic took hold. The city only started taking applications for permits two weeks ago. Philadelphia's premier rowing events, Dad Vail and Stotesbury Regattas, will return to the Schuylkill River in May. The events will be athletes-only. That means no spectators, vendors, or other festivities that usually crowd the east bank. Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing will also have three high school races in April and the City Championships May 1 and 2. More information on the logistics of the regattas will be forthcoming.

An Olde Kensington landlord was found in contempt of court on Wednesday, 3/31, for locking out over a dozen tenants from their apartments despite a previous court order saying that they were allowed to stay. The building complex is the Moscow and Monica apartments on the 1400 block of Germantown Avenue. On March 15, Judge Joshua Roberts ruled that the residents should have full access to their units. On March 31, Gagandeep Lakhmna, the buildings' owner, was fined $22,500, plus $500 in state attorney fees. Judge Roberts ruled that he will have to pay $1,000 per day per unit that a resident is still locked out. Lakhmna is currently on vacation in the Caribbean. Each unit is unlocked via an electronic fob. A person's individual fob can be granted or denied access to a specific unit, front door, or other areas. Lakhmna would have only had to change the settings in the system to "lock" them out, and not physically change the locks.
