One child is dead and two others were injured in a drive-by shooting after a high school football game in Delaware County on Friday night, 8/27. It happened just before 9 p.m. at Academy Park High School on the 300 block of Calcon Hook Road in Sharon Hill. The game was between Academy Park and Pennsbury High School (Bucks County). Shots were fired as fans started to leave the stadium. A 7-year-old girl was struck in the neck. She was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where she died from her injuries. Two other juveniles were also injured, but no other details are available at this time. Police have three people incustody. Weapons have been recovered.

A man on the FBI's Most Wanted List for attempted murder is facing more charges following a multi-state police chase and shootout that led to his capture earlier this week. 41-year-old Arthur Henry Disanto Jr. was wanted for almost killing a woman in Media in July. On Monday, 8/23, he led police on a motorcycle chase in Delaware County and a shootout in Southwest Philadelphia. He carjacked a SWAT vehicle and ended up being captured in NJ after shooting and injuring a police officer. He had been charged with armed carjacking and fleeing and eluding in PA. He is now facing additional charges in NJ of attempted murder and aggravated assault. Disanto is currently in Cooper Medical Center in critical, but stable condition. He had been shot three times.

The United States launched a retaliatory air strike against an ISIS-K 'planner' on Friday, 8/27, as officials warn of the likely possibility of more bombings at the Kabul airport in Afghanistan. President Joe Biden said yesterday that the US would respond to the ISIS-K suicide bomber at the Abbey Gate that killed 13 US serviceman and dozens of civilians. This strike was carried out in Nangahar Province by a Reaper drone that was launched from the United Arab Emirates.

UPDATE: On Saturday, Maj. Gen. William Taylor confirmed that two "high-profile ISIS targets were killed." One other was wounded. Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said the two were "ISIS-K planners and facilitators."
