Central Bucks English teacher Suspended

A Central Bucks English teacher has been suspended pending investigation after a parent complained about her blog postings where she complained about her students. She used comments such as, "Frightfully dim," "Rat-like," "Seems smarter than she actually is." to describe some of her students. She also wished she could add "lazy", "sneaky" and "rude" to the canned report card comments teachers can choose from. She never named specfic students. Her blog has since been taken down.

Some parents think she should be fired. But should she? or should she be allowed to vent her frustration about students in her class on a personal blog. Maybe the kids really do need to shape up and the parents need to know that.

After being suspended from her Central Bucks East teaching job over being so open in her blog posts about students and parents, you might think Natalie Munroe would quiet down. Not so. Now in the national spotlight, she is basking in her 15 minutes of fame. Munroe said this week that every year seems to get worse. The students show up with more attitude and the parents act like customers that teachers are supposed to please.
