Fifth Tacony Home Invasion, Jerry Sandusky Trial Testimony, Summer School Underclassmen Must Pay
  by: iradiotom - Philadelphia, PA

Police are investigating another home invasion in the Tacony section. The incident happened at about 3am. The intruder apparently entered through an unlocked door and confronted a teenage girl with a gun. They got away with some entertainment gear, but no one was hurt. This is the fifth home invasion in Tacony in the last week.

The Jerry Sandusky trial got underway yesterday with graphic testimony from alleged victims who testified that the former Penn State assistant coach showered them with gifts and wrote love letters. The first accusers to testify said Sandusky wanted them to wash his body and caressed them during car rides.

Budget cuts in the Philadelphia school system will require underclassmen to pay for summer school if they need it. Seniors who need a credit or two to graduate can attend summer classes free. Underclassmen will have to pay about $250 per credit for summer school or they won’t be promoted to the next grade.
