Friday's Phillies vs. Tampa game postponed and rescheduled for Sunday at 6:35pm

Last night's thunderstorms and heavy rains delayed the start of the Phillies' interleague series opener with the Tampa Bay Rays. After about an hour initial delay ground crew pulled the tarp and the teams and crowd started to make their way back into the stadium anticipating an 8:45 start. However, when they were just about ready the rains picked up again and the tarp came back out.

The game was finally called for good at 9:53 pm.

Friday's game has been rescheduled as part of a split admission day-night double header for tomorrow. It will start at 6:35 pm. All tickets for last night's game will be honored for tomorrow's night game only. The first game tomorrow will start at 1:05 pm and is for the tickets regularly scheduled for Sunday at 1:35 pm.

Tampa Bay's expected starter last night, James Shields (7-4, 3.72), will start today against Kyle Kendrick (2-7, 5.29) at 4:05. The Phillies' expected starter from last night, Cliff Lee (0-3, 3.48), will probably start one of the games tomorrow, though tomorrow's starters have not been announced.
