Tesla and Scorpions Rock The Mann Center 7/11/12

The open air of Fairmount Park was filled with the sounds of 80s rockers Tesla and Scorpions last night. Tesla took the stage around 7:45 with the energy and intensity they always bring to the stage. The crowd was on their feet as the band gave them their best: “Modern Day Cowboy,” “Little Suzi,” “Signs,” “Love Song,” “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out),” and many others. As Tesla wrapped up the set, they thanked the Scorpions for inviting them to open and be on the tour.

Not to be outdone, the Scorpions hit the stage with the bright lights, video screens, and a drum riser twenty feet in the air just like the concert days in the 80s. Scorpions set list pleased the true hard core fan that knew each of the rarely played album tracks like “Holiday,” “The Zoo,” “Blackout”, and “Tease Me Please Me” plus the more familiar tracks including:

Rhythm Of Love
Wind Of Change
Big City Nights
Still Loving You
No One Like You
Rock You Like A Hurricane

The acoustics of the Mann were put to the test by these rockers, and passed with flying colors! Check the event listings on iradiophilly.com for upcoming shows at the Mann, and treat yourself to an incredible sounding show!
