Smoking Ban in Camden County, Abduction Suspect Arrested, Third Arrest in Rape of 12 Year Old

Camden County is preparing to begin enforcement of a ban on smoking in public parks. The ordinance took effect 3 years ago but not enforced until now. Signs are in the parks notifying visitors that it is Tobacco Free. Violators will be warned first and then $50 for smoking. In addition to clearing the air, eliminating discarded cigarette butts from the ground also helps keep the park clean.

Philadelphia Police have arrested a man in connection with the attempted abduction of a 10 year old girl Tuesday that was caught on video. Figueroa Fagot was handcuffed in his home on North 8th Street and taken into custody. Police also seized a white vehicle that matched the description of the getaway vehicle seen in the video.

A third arrest has been made in connection with the rape of a 12 year old girl at the Francis Myers Recreation Center in Kingsessing. The three boys aged 14 and 15 years old allegedly attacked the victim and raped her Monday night in a stairwell. The boys are being charged with Rape, Criminal Conspiracy, Simple Assault and other offenses.
