Overbrook Teens Shot and Killed, Center City Robbers Arrested, Margaritaville Atlantic City

Teen brothers, 13 and 17, were shot and killed in the city's Overbrook neighborhood Tuesday night. The shooting happened inside a home in the 1300 block of Westbury Drive a little before 7:45 p.m. Investigators say the 13-year-old boy was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim died at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania a short time later after being shot in the chest.

Philadelphia police say two men arrested for a strong-armed robbery they allegedly committed in Center City Tuesday night may be connected to other robberies in the area. The suspects held a man down, beat him, and then stole his phone before taking off. Authorities are looking into whether the suspects are connected to eight other robberies that happened around Center City.

The Margaritaville party has already started in Atlantic city in anticipation of the May 2013 opening of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville complex at Resorts Casino Hotel. The singer joined New Jersey governor Chris Christie and other officials on the boardwalk Tuesday for the announcement. Resorts is partnering with Buffett to add a Margaritaville themed section to the casino, a Five O’Clock Somewhere casino bar, a Margaritaville restaurant and landshark bar and grill on the beach – open year round. It’s a $35 million project.
