Police are searching for the suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred on Tuesday evening. Two people were shot at about 6:05 p.m. in the 1200 block of West Rockland Street. Both victims were transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center where one of the victims died. Homicide detectives are investigating the scene and are searching for the suspect.

A Bucks County man was found dead in a home containing explosive materials on Tuesday. A bomb squad and agents from the the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were called out to a home on on the unit block of Barry Road in New Britain Township. The man has been identified as 34-year-old Christopher Kanter. According to authorities, it is possible Kanter died of cardiac arrest or a prescription medication overdose. Investigators say it was his girlfriend who discovered his body near the kitchen around 9:30 in the morning and called police. It is unclear why explosive materials were in the home. Authorities are investigating.

A Delaware pediatrician who achieved national recognition for his research into near-death experiences involving children may have been experimenting on his 11-year-old stepdaughter by waterboarding her. The possible link between Dr. Melvin Morse’s research and the waterboarding allegations was revealed in an affidavit for a search warrant for Morse’s computers. According to the affidavit, Dr. Melvin Morse brought the girl “to a possible near death state from the simulation of drowning.” Morse, who faces a preliminary hearing Thursday on felony child endangerment and conspiracy charges, has authored several books and articles on paranormal science and near-death experiences.
