An SUV collided with a street trolley on Girard Avenue in Kensington early this morning, knocking the trolley off its tracks. The vehicle rear ended the trolley at a high rate of speed near 6th and Girard. Two passengers in the SUV fled the scene. The driver is in stable condition at Hahnemann University Hospital.

Rip currents at the Jersey Shore made swimming treacherous this weekend. At least 11 water rescues were reported on Sunday at South Jersey beaches. Two swimmers were taken to Cape May Regional Medical Center after lifeguards pulled them from the water in North Wildwood and Cape May. The water is still warm but yesterday was the last day for lifeguards on many beaches.

Celebrating the 225th anniversary of the US Constitution, there will be free admission to Philadelphia's National Constitution Center at 525 Arch Street until 5pm today. The US Constitution which starts, "We the people" was adopted September 17, 1787 and lays out the basic principles of democracy and the rights its citizens expect.
