Two teens were shot this afternoon aboard the Broad Street SEPTA subway at the Susquehanna–Dauphin station in North Philadelphia when a fight broke out between high schoolers riding the train after school. The two teens hit were 14 and 17 years old years old and shot in the leg and the arm respectively. They were taken to Temple University Hospital and are expected to recover. One suspect has been taken into custody and another is being sought.

Mayor Nutter announced today that all costs for the Labor Day weekend “Made in America” Festival featuring Jay-z and Pearl Jam have been paid for by the concert promoters Live Nation. The total city costs came out to $505,124 for services like police, sanitation, emergency medical services, Fairmount Park rental, and licenses and inspections. Live Nation put down a deposit of $200,000 when it signed the contract and paid the balance today. This news should put an end to citizens' fears that there will be large burden on the city's tax-coffers. Both sides are in talks for repeating the event next year.

Tonight, mostly clear with temperatures falling through the 60's tonight in Philadelphia.
