Gloucester Missing Teen, Made In America Cost, Broad Street Subway Shooting

Police in Gloucester Township are searching for a missing 16 year old. Kayla Maven was reported missing by her mother on Sept. 18. Kayla left the house sometime after Sept. 17 with her two month old son, Jeremiah. While it is not known where Kayla went, she is believed to be in the Vineland area in Cumberland County.

The total cost of the Made in America concert is now available from Mayor Nutter’s office, and it looks like taxpayers came out on top. Mayor Nutter said Live Nation delivered a check to the city Wednesday afternoon for $305,124. That is in addition to a security deposit already paid for $200,000. The total bill, already paid by Live Nation, is $505,124. The Mayor said no taxpayer dollars were used to put on the Made in America.

Police say a suspect is in custody in connection with a shooting yesterday afternoon aboard a SEPTA Broad Street subway train that left two juveniles wounded. Two teens were shot, taken to Temple University Hospital, with injuries not considered life-threatening. The shooting was sparked by an argument between two groups of teens from rival schools. Officials say they’re relying on surveillance video and witnesses to find the shooter.
