Three people pleaded guilty in a human trafficking, assault and torture case in Philadelphia. Michael and Tamara Rhoades lured victims to their North Philadelphia home, and then, along with Steven Mills, took part in sadistic abuse of young women. Victims were lured to the home for a sexual relationship, and then the defendants started stealing the women’s money, work, social security and college aid checks all while threatening and beating the women to prevent them from leaving.

Hazmat crews are investigating a situation in Old City. Police and Fire were called to the Wells Fargo building at 4th and Market early this morning when a white, powder like substance was found on the concourse level of the building.

Yesterday was a quiet day on Wall Street until the President of the Fed’s Philadelphia branch spoke up. Charles Plosser told an audience Tuesday he doubted the Federal Reserve Bank’s effort to boost economic growth would work. Plosser’s remarks triggered the worst selloff in three months with the Dow losing over 100 points.

Sports
The Phillies beat the Washington Nationals 6-3.

Weather
Isolated Showers possible today. 79 in Philadelphia.
