Three Teens Arrested in NE Philly Supermarket Assault; Pawlucy Harassment Continues

Three teenagers are now in custody in connection to random group assault in a Northeast Philadelphia supermarket earlier this week.17-year-old Kevin Tavarez, 18-year-old Tomas Eanes and 17-year-old Jose Ruiz are facing a litany of charges including assault, robbery, and conspiracy. The two minors have been charges as adults. Police released video of the attack obtained from store security cameras, but it was video taken by the suspects that helped track them down. The surveillance video showed one suspect recording the incident with his cell phone. A search on YouTube turned up that very video connected to a Facebook account with the names of the accomplices listed. The police are searching for the fourth, female, suspect.

The parent's of Charles Carroll High School student Samantha Pawlucy went to the Port Richmond high school today to file a formal complaint with the school. Samantha claims she was harassed last Friday by her geometry teacher, Lynette Gaymon, for wearing a t-shirt that supports the Romney-Ryan campaign. The sophomore fears returning to school because of threats and taunting she's received from other students and on Facebook. The administration told her parents, Richard and Kristine, that the student body would be talked to and told not to bother Samantha, who plans to return next Tuesday. Despite these assurances, her parents were heckled and cursed at as they left Carroll this afternoon by students yelling from the windows. Gaymon offered an apology and an explanation that she was only joking earlier this week.

Tonight, Perfect weather clear skies, temperatures in low 70's, upper 60's for most of the evening in Philadelphia.
