A 21 year old Bangladeshi man was arrested today by the FBI for his plot to blow up the Federal Reserve Bank in New York. The public was never at risk according to the FBI. The man, Quazi Mohammad Rezwanui Ahsan Nafis, came to the U.S. in January to carry out a terrorist attack using a weapon of mass destruction to avenge the killing of Osama Bin Laden.

The major pro sports leagues and the NCAA are suing New Jersey to try to block the state from offering legalized sports betting in defiance of a federal ban on it. The leagues may be forced to turn over 10 years' worth of documents regarding the impact of everything from sports betting and fantasy sports leagues to March Madness office pools. Governor Christie plans to push forward and sports betting could begin January 9th.

West Chester Borough Council is scheduled to vote on new legislation that would fine smokers for littering their cigarette butts. The ordinance was first proposed back in August, but the council vote is tonight. If caught littering a cigarette butt or other tobacco material in public, violators would have to pay a fine of at least $100.

Weather
Clear skies tonight. Down to 47 in Philadelphia.
