Today, police released video of persons of interest regarding the break-ins at St. Gabriel's Convent in South Philadelphia. The burglary happened just before 2 am Wednesday and another break-in the next morning around 3:30. The videos show several men walking near the convent within minutes of the two burglaries.

Today the NHL cancelled another week of hockey. As the lockout continues, this is the third week to be wiped out. The NHL turned down three counterproposals from players yesterday and then cancelled 53 more games. A total of 135 games have now been cancelled through November 1st. More than 10% of the NHL season is now gone.

Philadelphia police have arrested 2 people for making straw purchases of handguns. Lakiesha Taylor bought two .40 caliber handguns last week. When police ran her history, they discovered she had purchased 4 other handguns this year. Taylor admitted to agents that she purchased the guns for Michael Gardiner, a convicted felon who is unable to buy guns himself. Governor Corbett is preparing to sign a law requiring a minimum 5 year sentence for straw purchases.

The skies will clear overnight for the Newtown Brewfest tomorrow. Down to 55 in Philadelphia.
