The Township of Toms River, New Jersey has issued evacuation notices ahead of the Nor'easter forecasted to hit the region today, bringing rain, high winds and the potential for moderate coastal flooding. The mandatory evacuations are effective at 12 p.m. Wednesday for anyone working or staying on the Barrier Island.
There is a voluntary evacuation for the low lying areas on the mainland effective 4 p.m. today.Four more years.

Barack Obama received enough electoral votes to be re-elected President of the United States. Mayor Michael Nutter says even with the Voter ID effort, Philadelphia and Pennsylvania voters turned out like a freight train.

Kathleen Kane on Tuesday spearheaded a Democratic sweep of Pennsylvania three statewide “row offices,” becoming the first Democrat and the first woman to be elected as state attorney general and snapping a chain of GOP succession that had gone unbroken since the post became an elective office in 1980.
Pennsylvania also elected Eugene DePasquale, a state representative from York County, as auditor general and awarded state Treasurer Rob McCord a second four-year term.
