Lady Gaga Donates $1 M to Sandy Victims; Storm Packs Rain, Wind and Snow; Nutter Staying in Philly

Lady Gaga will donate $1 million to the Red Cross to help the victims of Superstorm Sandy. Gaga is from New York and blogged that she would not be the person or artist she is today if it were not for places like the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn. Lady Gaga wrote, "Thank you for helping me build my spirit. I will now help rebuild yours."

Like most weather systems, Nor'easters can be unpredictable. The storm affecting our area now could drop 3 to 5 inches of snow through tomorrow morning. However the National Weather Service is saying those numbers could be overdone. The real threat we are facing is the wind. At the shore, 60 mile per hour gusts are likely. Strong winds around Philadelphia can bring down trees and power lines, especially if covered with wet snow.

Mayor Nutter says he is staying in Philadelphia. With President Obama winning a second term, there was speculation that Nutter would take a position if offered by the President. Nutter laid rumors to rest today saying he would finish out his term in Philadelphia. Nutter says he loves the job and the city and he still has work to do.

Weather
Snow tonight will mix with rain at times possibly leaving a couple inches. 32 in Philadelphia.
